Honey Lemon Pepper Wings

Prep Time: 5 Min | Cook Time: 30 Min

  • 1 lb party wings
  • Lemon pepper rub
  • Olive oil
  • 1 Lemon
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 3-4 tbsp Melinda’s Hot Honey
  1. Get wings coated in olive oil as binder then season with a lemon pepper rub
  2. Get them on the grill or smoker indirect , I’m using the Weber Kettle with heat deflector for crispy wings. Smoke using applewood and a temp of 450-500F for 25-30 min
  3. When done remove and add a cast iron over the grill and add in butter. Also add a lemon cut into halves over the grill to cook. Cooked lemons bring out the natural sugars and give an amazing flavor.
  4. In the same cast iron add in garlic paste, 1 tbsp of lemon pepper rub, the juice from the whole grilled lemon and hot honey and mix. Do not cook for more than a min or 2. Just want the ingredients to be well incorporated. Cook too long the honey can burn up and seize.
  5. When done cover the wings in sauce then enjoy!
