Spicy Filipino BBQ Chicken Skewers

Prep Time: 3 hrs | Cook Time: 40 Min

Marinade ingredients:

🇵🇭¾ cup soy sauce
🇵🇭½ cup lemon juice
🇵🇭¾ cup spicy banana ketchup (this is key) found at any Asian market
🇵🇭4 tablespoons brown sugar
🇵🇭2 tablespoons garlic powder
🇵🇭1 teaspoon ground black pepper
🇵🇭2 teaspoons salt
🇵🇭1 ½ cups lemon or lime soda

Basting sauce:

🇵🇭Exactly like marinade except for the soda

🇵🇭Slice up boneless chicken thighs or breasts
🇵🇭Add all ingredients. Mix well and cover. Marinate at least 3hrs. Preferably overnight for best results.
🇵🇭Add chicken to @superskewer
🇵🇭Cook over @jealousdevilcharcoal and Applewood 3-5 mins per side. Constantly flipping to build a nice even char.
🇵🇭Once you build a slight char start basting each side multiple times after every flip.
🇵🇭Keep doing this till Chicken reaches 165 internal
🇵🇭Let cool then enjoy 🤙🏽
