Filipino BBQ Pork Skewers

*You’re going to make 2 batches of this marinade. 1 without the lemon lime soda for basting.

•4 lbs. pork shoulder sliced into thin pieces

•Marinade ingredients

•¾ cup soy sauce

•½ cup lemon juice

•¾ cup banana ketchup (this is key) found at any Asian market

•4 tablespoons brown sugar

•2 tablespoons garlic powder

•1 teaspoon ground black pepper

•2 teaspoons salt

•1 ½ cups lemon or lime soda

1. Slice pork into cubes

2. Add all ingredients. Mix well and cover. Marinate at least 3hrs. Preferably overnight for best results.

3. Add pork to skewers

4. Cook over hot charcoals. 3-5 mins per side. Getting a nice char on all sides.

5. Baste with 2nd batch of marinade after every flip. Flipping multiple times.

6. Serve and enjoy.
