Spicy Loco Moco

Share this recipe:

  • 1 lb of Australian Wagyu beef patties from @thewagyuwindow (Sub with your preferred ground beef)
  • ½ med Maui or yellow onion diced
  • 1 Serrano pepper diced w/ seeds
  • 1 tbsp roasted garlic paste (sub w/ minced garlic)
    1 tbsp @the_w_sauce Fireshire XXX (sub w/ regular Worcestershire sauce)
  • ½ c pork panko (sub w regular panko)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms diced (optional)
  • 2 c beef broth
  • 1 tbsp @the_w_sauce Fireshire XXX (sub w/ regular Worcestershire sauce)
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp roasted garlic paste (sub w/ minced garlic)
    2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 2 c steamed white rice
  • 2 large eggs, fried, sunny side up or over easy
  1. Add beef broth to a large pan on medium heat
  2.  Add in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and mix
  3. Once you see the broth start to steam add in cornstarch and mix
  4. Add in salt, pepper and mushrooms
  5. Bring to a boil and let thicken. About 2-3 mins. Turn off heat and set aside
  6. In a large bowl add in all ingredients for patties and mix. If using leaner ground beef, you may want to add in an egg to bind mixture
  7. Form into large pattie’s and grill over a flattop or pan
  8. Place patty over white rice and pour gravy over
  9. Topped spicy everything bagel seasonings
  10. Then topped w/ a fried egg, fresh diced scallions and crispy friend garlic
