- Ingredients
🇵🇭 2 tbsp olive oil
🇵🇭 ½ Yellow onion diced
🇵🇭 6 garlic cloves, crushed then coarsely chopped
🇵🇭 1 (2 inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
🇵🇭 2 pounds chicken wings
🇵🇭 1 tbsp fish sauce
🇵🇭 5 ½ cups chicken broth
🇵🇭 1 cup white rice
🇵🇭 Salt and pepper to taste
🇵🇭 Pinch of Saffron
🇵🇭 green onion, chopped optional
🇵🇭 1 lemon, sliced optional
🇵🇭 Crispy fried garlic
🇵🇭 1 hard boiled egg

This can all be done over the stove)
🍲 Heat oil in a large cast iron dutch oven over hot coals
🍲 Cook and stir in onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant, about 5 minutes
🍲 Add chicken wings; cook and stir for 1 minute
🍲 Stir in fish sauce, mix and cook another 2 minutes.
🍲 Pour chicken broth into the pot
🍲 Pour in rice and bring mixture to a boil
🍲 Bring pot above coals and onto grill grate
🍲 Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot
🍲 Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of Saffron (optional)
🍲 Remove lid, add word chunks and smoke for 5 min
🇵🇭 Pour into bowls and garnish with green onion, crispy fried garlic (optional)
🍲 Serve with lemon slices and sliced hard boiled egg (optional)
